the things we leave behind do make me smile.
today, this discounted tag for a dvf dress in the hachette ladies.
what a great bargain someone has bagged. tee hee.
I wonder what the story is... came to work with tag attached and rectified mistake in loo;
came to work uncomfortable in own clothes so nipped across the road for a midday change;
stopped off at selfridges prior to work and simply couldn't resist the sales rack...
all scenarios i can very much relate to, as just last night i had a dress-up panic when a formerly roomy dress proved that bit too snug for comfort
(note to self, always trial pre-baby clothes before very important events
where photographers will be present)
I so rarely go out to buy clothes now that I can barely remember scenarios like those above let alone relate to them, oh except the one about pre-baby clothes being a tad on the tight side! For me clothes shopping is fraught with difficulties, being over 40 I feel that I am the forgotten woman in the fashion parade and whilst I <3 Mary P, indeed I was that vibrant of hair and lean of leg 20yrs ago and was disgusted if I did not get at least one raised eyebrow on a trip out, now it all seems like too much effort! Sorry another essay for a comment. Jan x
ReplyDeleteDear Jan, thank you so much for all the fab comments you've left... I can certainly relate to the 'too much effort' feeling... although I have to say, I also like going out naked of face (at the weekends)... it feels liberating (sometimes)...
