since hubby took over household duties, he's developed a fetish for fresh flowers
he says baby likes them - they're bright, and tactile - but they also add homeliness
these irises, tulips, lilies and roses were an odd combination
that somehow sat perfectly together, like a many-melodied song
if only they could actually sing, as in alice in wonderland
i wonder what they'd say?
