the printed packaging from 'ecorganic' brand estelle & thild
is a thing of great beauty
 a joy forever
great for popping other gifts into
up-cycling that promotes upturned mouths
while the products themselves are simple propositions -
good, clean, nourishing stuff, that leaves skin calm & cared for
nothing miraculous, but therein lies the miracle

beautiful truth

Serge Lutens on L'Eau Froide

Will the public go along with it? How about your loyal following?

I can let anyone and everyone down - including myself, perhaps most of all - but I have to go where my creative spirit takes me.

#146 Miss Malcontent's Best Face Forward

Regular readers will know that I love a good face mask, and a few have come into my life of late. Clark's Botanicals make some seriously smart and effective skincare. Their Intense Radiance Mask (US only at present, but if you hassle Space NK enough, they're sure to stock it too before long) and Deep Moisture Mask, are both GREAT. I've been using them together (odd, yes, but recommended by the company's founder Francesco). The kaolin in the Radiance mask forms a seal over the Moisture Mask - so (in Francesco's words) 'if hopping in the shower, you get a clay oven effect, which pushes the hydrating factors into the skin.' Flanneling it all off at the end was a treat - skin looked noticeably more even, and felt plumper. These will now form a regular part of my weekly routine (Sunday night is Face-Date Night).

Then there is Fresh' famous Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask, which defied expectations. Silky - almost silliconey - in feel, it is souffle light, and cools skin down (odd in winter, when leaving the bathroom sets off the shivers), BUT leaves it taut and toned looking. A good post-late-night pick-me-up - also wonderful for calming irritable complexions.

Nice treats all... next time, the best masks for brightening and exfoliating.

abigail's party

A fortuitous meeting with intuitive facialist Abigail James
has already made marks (good ones) on my skin;
in the goody bag, another greener world:
Inner Me Beauty Supplements (www.innerme.co.uk)
Live Native Hand Made Organic Skin Food (from the Isle of Skye; www.livenative.com)
Radiance Cleanse juices (www.radiancecleanse.com)
and re-introductions to Sophyto, OSKIA and Dr Alkaitis
Great brands all.
And any lady who dabbles in such dreamy products,
can be left to dabble with my skin, any day.
