Miss Malcontent, who has made the permanent move over from her own blog - and Mrs Brightside, a Beauty Director by trade, and smile-seeker by nature - are my 'ego' and my 'alter'... united for the first time (and by the love of red lipstick).
Miss Malcontent is our resident beauty reviewer. Putting products through their paces and offering comprehensive, often holistic, and no-holds-barred advice in a bid to unite readers with better beauty (and get them away from those so-often-empty 'celeb endorsed' promises).
Mrs Brightside is a great many things (aren't we all?). A dreamer, staycationer, folk-music lover, bookworm, mama, foodie and rookie homemaker - celebrating the sweet and simple things in a life that's too short to do justice to such inexhaustible joy. She is also a feminist, nauseated by 'celeb' culture, gossip, tabloid rags, glamour models and diets.
Here I (and 'we') share the things that draw us in, make us smile, make us think, make us happy - from London's secret gardens, to indie bookshops, grown-up and gorgeous stationery, really good brews and cake, and, of course, those precious lipsticks as pigmented as poster paint, creams as cosseting as kid-gloves and the hows and whys of what does, and does not, do the pretty trick.
